Life in the MTC

Look how empty that desk is! He needs pictures people!

 Dutifully sending letters.

Preaching the gospel and personal hygiene. Both equally important.

No idea what this picture is all about.
Thanks for all the loot Becca & Peter. When they do something they do it big!

Big News!!!

Hey family/bloggers/Dana Ward!

Everything is good in the MTC! Spanish is coming along slowly, but surely. Mom that is ridiculous how you can write me a dear elder from your phone while working ha-ha. How did Cassie Frost's wedding go? Did Rick behave himself? How was the BBQ? I don’t really need anything but snacks and caffeine is appreciated :) I’m sorry about the Called to Serve thing. It was kinda funny because another Elder in my district got a Dear elder from his mom saying they sang it in church and she had to leave because she was crying so hard. But don’t forget I love you :) Secondly, HAPPY FATHERS DAY FATHER!! I sent you a letter so hopefully you got it. The days here are never ending. They are so long. It’s kinda depressing as well because you’re cooped up in a classroom all day and you look out the window and see all these elders outside playing sports, messing around, enjoying life... It’s ok. I get that for 45 minutes a day. It’s like recess. So we have been teaching 2 regular investigators and another investigator that changes every week. It’s still hard to teach in Spanish, but one of our investigators committed to Baptism! Too bad they aren’t REAL investigators though... But they act like them so it feels real. On Sunday I took like a 2.5 hour nap which was glorious! During the week, an elder in our district was having a hard time learning Spanish/anxiety so we gave him a blessing which helped a lot. On the Tuesday Devotional Sister Wixon, the primary president came and spoke to us. It was rad because we sang primary songs. We changed the words to a few so it made it that much cooler. So instead of I hope they call me on a mission it was they called me on a mission and all this stuff. It was really cool. It doesn’t sound cool but it gave the songs more meaning because that is me right now! So exciting news! The Director of Religious Affairs from Mexico is coming visit me and my other 7 district members. The entire church is now on our shoulders. He is coming to visit just us. If we put on a good show, Missionaries will continue to get into Mexico. If we mess up then It looks like I’m going somewhere else! Ha-ha jk But no it’s a really big deal. He is going to have armed security and a member of the 70 or the 12 is going to be accompanying him. So I will have 1 on 1 time with a head official from the country of Mexico and a big shot from the church... no pressure... I wrote about it in the letter I sent dad and more exciting news, but I’m not allowed to post it yet. Not much other than that has been happening here. But I love you and keep writing!

Love,
Elder Stark
